There were three games to be played on Wednesday but only two went ahead after the clash between Stratford Town and Boldmere St Michaels was postponed.

With Boldmere’s game being called off, this gave Romulus a chance to climb above them and close the gap on league leaders Mansfield Town who were on League Cup duty this week. They were at home to winless Chasetown.

In turned out to be a happy afternoon for the home side after they won 3-0. Romulus are now five points behind Mansfield. Mansfield have not been in action in the league, so Romulus are now the most likely team to catch them. Once again, Chasetown remain bottom without a win to their name.

In this week’s other game, Solihull Moors were at home to Tamworth. It ended in a 5-3 win for Solihull. Solihull are one point behind Stratford and Tamworth and this win will certainly have big implications of who finishes fourth this season as Tamworth currently occupy that spot.

Next week four games will be played in Division I. Stratford Town are at home to Stourbridge. Stourbridge looking to climb up the table with a win away. Romulus are away to Tamworth with a chance to close the gap on Mansfield who will need to recover from their first loss this season in the League Cup to FC Halifax Town. Mansfield will be away at Boldemere whilst there is a clash at the bottom between Kidderminster Harriers and Chasetown. Chasetown will surely being looking for a win.
