Last minute heroics from Levi Irving gave Cirencester Town a spectacular 3-2 win against Maidenhead to continue their fantastic run in Division E.
The travelling Gloucestershire side caught Maidenhead on the break and went into half time 1-0 up thanks to Alfie Cook. Cirencester looked to be in the lead of collecting all three points after in-form Levi Irving converted a penalty to bring the game to 2-0. With the game coming to a close, Maidenhead staggered their opponents slotting away two quick goals inside the last ten minutes leaving both team all to play for with a few minutes remaining. Two minutes from full-time, Levi Irving rose to the occasion putting away his second of the day denying the Berkshire team their hard-fought point.
Cirencester Town Head Coach, Ross Langworthy, was full of praise as his team continues to impress and climbs the table of Division E. He said, “We continue our remarkable start to our first season in the National League”.
Cirencester are now in third place and trail two points to Division E leaders Eastleigh Blue. They will welcome eighth place Andover Town in an aim to threaten second place Oxford City.
